am really wanting to do some but it's been years since I used to stab myself attempting to do lino cutting...can anyone advise of good ink to use,decent paper - any other useful tips,please

proper printing ink is best imo...you can do it ok with acrylic paint though too.

Sorry, maybe I should explain a bit more!

If you go on the intaglio website, and click on the "relief printing" tab, you'll find everything you need for lino printing (tools, lino, inks)
