Turning old jeans into toddler dungarees

Just found this and I'm going to be giving it a go tomorrow, I think it's an amazing idea! Has anyone seen any other ideas like this to reuse old clothes?

My DS hates dungerees, perhaps I could turn dungerees into jeans! (grin)

Looks great. Wish I had seen ths when my ds2 was a baby.

I hope it goes ok too, my sewing skills aren't fab! I've got the jeans down now and they're nice and soft so hopefully they'll make nice comfy ones.

How did it go?

I haven't got very far yet! I've cut out the denim and was going to make then last night until I realised I needed to prewash my cotton. So I'm going to be making it this evening most likely.

i applaud the sentiment but think the stripes are awful.

I'm not a big fan of the stripes either. For these ones I'm just using the spotty cotton I've got lying around but if it works I'm going to get some nice fabric for the next ones.
