Advice on office/desk/crafting space/sewing machine!

Moving house and using third bedroom as an office/study.

It's very square, think it's a single not a box. I want a desk in it and a bookcase (need the space to do uni work) but I also want my crafty stuff in there (so my drawers of scrapbooking stuff and sewing machine)

Should I have some sort of seperate tabls for the sewing machine? Any suggestions for this room?

I don't actually need the space for computer though as I have a laptop. I want shelves and things though, and I don't like it when it has tall shelves.

I think if you have the space (not sure on measurements) you might be better with a desk rather than computer workstation - you can then put sewing machine on, have pedestal drawers and then get a book-case as well. Problem with computer workstations is you are limited as there is the keyboard shelf, and then not a lot of other useable space. Have you looked at an office furniture supplier (eg viking direct) to see what sort of table, pedestal and book-case you could get?

i have a desk from ikea that is 'L' shaped but the extra bit is on wheels so can be pushed out the way when it's not being used. if you want to be really nosey, i've been experimenting this week with filming tutorials and have posted a tour of my sewing space on you tube, here
