Urgent! How do you make those balloons covered in paper?

I want to make a rocket for a party. I remember at school covering a blown up balloon in paper which then set and you remove the balloon.
Do you think this might work and how do you do it? By Friday? Yikes...

Easy - mix flour and water together till it is gloop. Dip bits of newspaper in and soak them completely through, then stick onto the balloon. Keep going, covering the balloon and building up layers till you've got what you want. Leave to dry then burst balloon.

With the flour and water mix, do you have to heat it up? I've tried it and it didn't work, someone told me you have to heat it up and cool it down.

If you have any wallpaper paste that'll do the job too.

Put a thin layer of vaseline over the balloon before you start putting on the paper then it comes off easier when you burst. Can also use watered down PVA glue if you have any.

I didn't heat up the flour and water - it needs to be pretty pastey and thick. Beware of wallpaper pastes in case they have additives in that will feel nasty on your hands.

I love you all very very much.

OK. Party is tomorrow but the paper on my balloon won't dry.Any ideas? What about taking out the balloon now and hairdryer-ing the inside and outside???

HELP!

Yeah, I think I put mine next to a fan heater to dry, so hairdryer will do it. I left the balloon in but am very clumsy and would have squashed it otherwise.
