well, I want to make an updated version for my son's kindergarten party. I am thinking a rocket shape. Any ideas how to make one? Tin foil is as far as I've got so far. How can I fashion a rocket shape (like the Wallace and Gromit shape one)?

Playdough covered in tinfoil, I'd guess.

a butternut squash would probably make a good rocket shape.

I usually use half a swede for the hedgehog shape

Aubergine with end sliced off. Wrapped in tin foil, balanced on pineapples slices Wrapped in ...etc)
With tail fins from cucumber wedges.

thanks everyone. The children are 3-6 yo in the class. Cocktail sticks are no problem here (they have candles on the tables every day. Quite romantic!) I can't get a butternut squash here. Do you think I can fashion one from newspaper, seal and shape with tape and cover with foil. Then windows, fiery boosters etc.
