Stretchy cord from Baker Ross - how on earth to tie?!

Bought some of this for a craft activity at dd's party on Saturday, but just tried to use it to make a demo piece, and cannot find a way to tie it that will stay - every single knot just undoes straight away! Dh has tried too, and we are now both stumped.

Anyone got any ideas on how we can join it to make bracelets/necklaces?

I have had this problem and funnily enough was at a beading class last night and was told to tie in reefer knot and then apply a clear nail varnish, havent tried it yet though! You can also get crimp beads from bead shops but they are really fiddly..

Blimey - not so good for a bunch of 3 year olds then! Am going to get them to make party hats instead of bracelets now, and they can stick the cord down with sellotape.
