Sling workshop

Hello,

I am not sure where to put this message so if I am in the wrong place I apologise and hope someone will point me in the right direction.

Months and months ago, I read about someone who had attended a sling workshop, where they make slings out of just simple pieces of cloth.
Can anyone tell me where I can find more information on these workshops, if they exist, or can someone give me more information on making wrap/slings/etc out of lengths of fabric (dd 8 months weight) which requires no sewing (can't sew).

So, TBM has had her baby, so we'll be keeping an eye out for when the little one is out of hospital and they're up and about.

In the meantime, does anyone have any ideas about venue? For me, central birmingham would be best for transport (well I'm in Bromsgrove so that would actually be best, but I think Central Brum is best for everyone generally).

Also, lunchtime would work best - plenty of time for naps while travelling and to get home for tea.
