Sewing maching help!

Hiya

I'm trying my first sewing project and having real problems with my sewing machine. Basically I'm trying to sew two pieces of fleece and the top thread keeps breaking. Any ideas why this could be happening and what I can do to fix it?

Sounds like the tension too tight perhaps?

Check the tension is nto too tight and the foot is down properly

I tried the tension thing, loosened it right off and its still doing it. Do you think the fabric is too thick for the machine?

is it threaded correctly , through the loop behind the needle and the right way through the needle ? Is the spool thread feeding ok ?

Is the needle too thick for the fabric then?

Have you tried it out on a teatowel or something first and it's working ok?

Fleece is a stretch fabric. Are you sewing it with a stretch stitch?
