wwyd? yarn & pattern thoughts please

i want to knit this jersey with this yarn. pattern says 4.5mm needles. yarn is for 3.75 - 4mm needles.

would you still use it?

yeah - i was hoping to get away with not buying a single ball to try it... guess it'll be the only way really though.

It's from an American site, right? IME American patterns often recommend a biggish needle size. I've found that they tend to be one size (or more) up from what works for me, so you may well be fine. Lovely pattern.

i'd love to treat myself to an interweave knits subscription but i' just be overwhelmed by things i'd want to knit. as it is i can barely keep my stash at a reasonable level and it continually threatens to get out of control...
