you need Maureenmove - or MoMoMoMerryChristmas - she makes fab snowmen from CDs, and dreamcatchers. With her Rainbows.

Thanks

That's what I thought

OK, stick a piece of string or ribbon in a loop onto the front of a cd then stick another CD over the top of it. So, in effect, you have 2 CD's stuck back to back, with a loop for hanging purposes. Make sure the picture sides are stuck together, so you just have the plain shinny sides showing.

Now cut a simple snowman hat out of black card or craft foam and stick it on the top, with the loop above the hat. One orange pompom, over the hole in the middle. A line of black circles in the shape of a mouth, couple of googly eyes and hey presto - a hanging snowman! I also decorate the hat with a cut out holly and berries.

I made 60 of them for a Guiding craft day, last week! I could make them in my sleep now!

You could also turn them into Father Christmas's, by using white and red card/foam. Or snowflakes, using glitter glue.

Table decorations.

You need plasticine, tinsel, and small candles (like the ones you use for angel chimes).

CD with the shiny side up. Plug the hole in the CD generously with plasticine, then jam in the candle. Wind a small amount of tinsel round the candle.

You can add extra sparkle to the CD with PVA and glitter, or christmassy stickers. Or you could add sprigs of holly to stick into the plasticine.

It's years since we made these, but they were actually very attractive, as the candle light reflects off the CD as it burns.

Make some snowflakes and stick to the cd then cover with glitter.

Not in my experience Katy, no. I use glue dots. Marvellous invention!

Fantastic aren't they? Bit more expensive than glue, I think, but so much more convenient for little ones. I unroll them and stick sparkly jewels onto them, then cut them into separate peices, for easy peel off things for the kids to use. Much easier for them to grab hold of the backing paper.

The pressies are lovely!
