Help needed in finding a Advent Calendar box that I can decorate!

I am looking for a plain white strong cardboard advent calendar. It has 25 little drawers.
(Basically you decorate it and put whatever you want in it)

Price is around £8 - £12

Anyone know where I can get hold of any?

PS I have made one but the local craft shop has sold out and they are not going to be getting anymore in, plus I can't get down there to ask where they got them from, and just to top it all, I threw all original packing out!

could you buy a cheap one and cover it with thick white ? paper and then decorate it. sorry then read little drawers , was thinking of chocolate ones. e bay ??

No, unfortunately. I know what I am after, its a free standing box with 5 boxes across and 5 going down, each box is about 2.5cm squared. I did try looking at E Bay but with no luck!

Just cant find what I am after!

Thanks anyway

I am still searching - the closest I have got is from the GLTC and its wooden and already painted and decorated. I want to decorate it myself!

you could make one with matchboxes? i did have a google yesterday but couldn't find any

pinkbubble · 28/11/2008 20:56

That is a possibility, although I would have a surplus of matches!

I thought it would be so easy - how wrong am I!

Thanks for replying.

have you tried hobbycraft? sounds like the sort of thing they'd do. or you could make some out of those foam sheets

pinkbubble · 28/11/2008 21:11

I am not that close to Hobbycraft unfortunately, to to pop there just incase! Its at least an hr away. I am desp trying to find somewhere locally or even off the net. Have just E mailed the local craft shop and have asked her. I really wanted one for my nephews Xmas present!

Would you be kind enough to share where you found it? I have been looking at them myself but have never ever seen plain ones for sale, was just looking at one in local shop that was really badly painted and thinking I might be able to do a better job myself, where did you get yours?

pinkbubble · 28/11/2008 23:37

LOL, I will go to the local craft shop tomorrow. I will look on the wrapping! (I so wish I did this last week and I will let you know.

When I first posted this I honestly thought that my local craft shop would not be selling anymore! It has obviously been a success!
