I'd like to stick pine cones to card, what glue should I use?

I'm trying to make a Christmas angel with a pine cone, a polystyrene ball and card for wings. I'm copying a rather fab one that was made several years ago but can't get it all to stick.

So far I've used copydex. It's not looking good. Might work as it dries, but I'm not hopeful. Anyone got a better idea? I'm thinking those "sticky fixers" maybe for sticking the polystyrene ball to the flat bit of the cone but what about the wings?

Thanks!

pva type glue works on most things for me. I think it helps if you get a good quality one from a craft/art suppliers. Sometimes you need to clip things with a bulldog clip while the glue is drying.

thanks all

the thing is that I'd like kids to do it themselves

we have 92 kids signed up for this event...

well, combo of sticky fixers and pva then! or you could have 92 kids super glued up to each other...

Thanks everyone.
