help Iam knitting a diagonal jacket,a twilleys of stamford pattern, the stitches increase by yrn yarn round needle. But it does seem to leave a small hole, there is ment to be a pattern up the middle of the stitching, i dont know whether my holes are a little too big, am i ment to knit into the back of the stitch on the next row or just knit normally??

After a yrn, you just knit normally on the next row. I think there will always be a hole - does this look right with the pattern? Do you have a link to the pattern on the internet?

Increasing like that has always left a little hole for me too, have never been sure whether it's meant to. As a result, I never increase that way, even if the pattern tells me to.

picture here The holes run up the middle of the back, and the same on the arms.

What a beautiful pattern- I want one!
Guess you need to peer closely at the inset photo to see whether there is a row of tiny holes.

If you knit into the back on the next row it does tend to close up the hole, I do that sometimes if I want a really invisible increase that doesn't distort the work, thought I'd invented it as I'd never seen it written down TBH.

Ooh, purdy! Yep, have a look at the inset photo - my eyes aren't good enough for that. I think it would look ok with little holes there.
