Looking for ideas for something my Brownies can make with holly leaves I have a free supply and thought we could make something to sell, but not sure what to make, thought about a table decoration of somekind but what to stick the leaves in???

Any ideas?

Aren't they prickly edged? I can think of things to make like christmas wall hanging decorations, wrapping around circular wire to put around vase or tea-lights but I think the prickles ,if all holly leaves have them ,would make that a bit dangerous for little hands?

They are prickly but not too much, I thought about a circle round a tea light but not sure what kind of wire, perhaps I could forage for some sort of bendy twigs to make circles with, ach its just a thought as I can get the holly and some nice fir for free .

If you pressed them first they might be easier to handle and do stuff with, stick them on newspaper with more layers on top and put a heavy weight on top (books, boxes, DC's...) for a few days and they should flatten out, then you could paint them and use as 'stampers', stick them onto pictures, etc.
Or you could paint them, sew a length of string through the base, make a loop and hang them off twigs to make a mini tree.

I wish DD was old enough to do things like this with!

Thanks, might try flattening them. They might be a bit difficult to handle I know, just want something that will sell to help with the funds.

Circle round a tea light would work, you could get them to bring old jam jars and hang them round the outside of that with craft wire or something, was looking for a site i HAD SEEN IT ON, OOPS.

thats what i was thinking round a tea light in a circle but wasn't sure about holding it all together.
