did you see the girly toppers in the bargain section?...denim jeans, simple to, high heels and handbags!!

AuntyQuated · 19/03/2005 11:07

tell us what else you ordered...will they combine the P&P?

SoupDragon · 19/03/2005 13:06

Have just spent £55 at Lakeland and it's ALL YOUR FAULT. I wouldn't have looked otherwise.

AuntyQuated · 19/03/2005 13:33

what did you buy????
free p&p tho'

Jaysmum · 19/03/2005 13:52

I bought stacks of stuff....some toppers that were reduced....I dont normally make "normal" cards....mine do tend to be a bit wacky and I tend to use unconventional things.....I have just sat in the garden and made a topper out of some fuse wire and a stone out of the flower bed!!!! I popped it onto a black card from stock and showed my next door neighbour who bought it straight away....
Erm...what else did I get....some cards...thanks for pushing me in the right direction.....I also got some of the lilac paper paint....thinking I might have a bash at some candles....some buttons, for a collage I am making for home....oh gosh the list goes on!!!!!!
Thanks anyway for leading me astray....Oh I mean the way!!!!!
Just off down the beach now to go and stock up on the old shell collection....amazing what you can find down there.......

Free P&P and a free gift

The sad thing is that I've no idea what I got! I just go through clicking stuff and adding it to my basket. Lots of bits from the bargains mostly. lots of bits. Going to Ikea on Monday I think to buy a workstation desk thingy to put all my stuff in (incl sewing machine etc - not just the Lakeland bits!).

SoupDragon · 19/03/2005 14:51

Thinking about the paper paint, have you ever made paper? IIRC, it basically involved shoving paper and water in a blender and pureeing it. I wondered if this would work as paint if you added wallpaper paste or PVA type glue.

AuntyQuated · 19/03/2005 15:17

yes sd...i still have some yellow pulp in the freeze!!! hmmm

hate to disappoint but the free gift is usually TIN FOIL!!! quite a huge roll too

SoupDragon · 19/03/2005 16:24

No, you choose the gift. I always go for the Pick-a-bag as I do actually use them

Do you think the paint is "makeable" from paper pulp? It's made from paper fibres so I can't see why not... drifts off into a thoughtful daze...

must dig out my paper making frame

Dingle · 20/03/2005 09:22

Have a growing stock of paper to "re-cycle" by making my own hand made paper!
I have only made one batch, ages ago which didn't turn out too bad but since then I have had loads more ideas.
I don't have a proper frame, I only use an old round embroidery frame and a bit of netting!
Do I need a frame when I have so much mor eto spend my money on? How much easier is it to use than my make shift effort!

SoupDragon · 20/03/2005 10:33

No, the frame I have is similar to yours. It's only effectively a picture frame with netting stretched across it so exactly like your version It's only something to settle the paper fibres on to after all.

I got mine in a kit for Christmas aaaaaaaaaaaaaages ago. At least 15 years! Must dig it out

AuntyQuated · 20/03/2005 15:54

i bought 2 cheap pics (inc frames) from Matalan, pulled them aprt and coverd with netting to make the frames.
