Help! I have to make a mathematical hat!

My ds school are having 'maths week'. As part of this he has to make a hat for a hat parade. It has to be maths themed - can be shapes, numbers ect . ..

any ideas?

black witches hat with white cut out numbers and spiders on it. maths really is scary for some.

its a moebius strip which is interesting to mathematicians because it is a bit obscure

I would make a really simple band to go round the head with an add, subtract, multiply and divide symbol on it in a bright contrasting colour.

My daughter made a cardboard crown, to which she stuck coloured shapes to look like jewels. Then she decided it needed some numbers, so she wrote out some sums, cut them out, and stuck them to the top of the points of the crown.

It looked gloriously childish and she won first prize (proud mummy!)
