Where can I get a crochet baby hat?

I saw a luvly crochet baby/toddler hat in etsy but it's from someone based in Canada and it would take weeks to arrive. Does anyone know where I could get something similar from the UK?

You could probably knock one up in five minutes.

Brora?
R surprised there isn't one on Etsy.

vacaloca · 05/11/2008 21:33

squeaky - I doubt it. I took me months to knit the simplest scarf from Debbie Bliss, so I'm not about to start crocheting.

I just checked Brora but it's very expensive and not really what I was after.

Crochet is so much faster than knitting. You really can make a whole outfit in an evening. A baby hat sounds like half and hour's work.

Fancy making one for me? I'll show the picture and you can tell me how much it'd be.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 06/11/2008 10:07

oh Dh will be thrilled!

purplemonkeydishwasher · 06/11/2008 10:07

still waiting for the link to the hat BTW!!

vacaloca · 06/11/2008 10:11

ooohhh, a competition . I feel a bit disloyal to this etsy woman but it's far too cold at the moment to wait weeks for the hat. I can't decide between this one or this other one. It's for DS who is 7 months. I love the visor ones in the last photo too for DD1 (5.1) and DD2 (2.9), or possibly this one for DD1 and this one for DD2. Oh choices choices...

v. cute do you have colour or yarn preferences?

vacaloca · 06/11/2008 10:14

Priority is DS though, who is hatless at the moment. The DDs have hats already so would have to think whether I'd get them more (depending on £££).

I prefer the brown ones (quite retro), like the middle one. Do you think he'll hate me forever when he sees the photos when he's older?

purplemonkeydishwasher · 06/11/2008 11:16
