Calling Miaou please

Hi. EachPeachPearMum tells me you are a sewing expert! I would really appreciate it if you could take a moment to look at my sewing machine thread please. Thanks.

Not really a sewing machine expert though! I think your best bet is to ask tillyboo or lucykate who are both sewers (ie people who sew, not drains) first and foremost and who have both recently bought new machines. Also you might want to chase katymac whose daughter likes to sew so she may have some advice on a suitable machine for you.

I have an oldish singer sewing machine which I have taught dd1 to use (she is 11) - it's really straightforward and the instruction manual makes it idiotproof. All I would say as general advice is, don't go for the cheapest but do go for something fairly simple.

You had your baby around the same time as me last year and you're further North than me but in the same country and you gave me kind words when I had an awful time with him for the first 6 months.
