Conkers - craft ideas please you creative lot!!

Ive got at least 30 conkers - I'm thinking of threading them on to a piece of string or something and just hanging them up somewhere..??!!??!

Anyone got any ideas they can share with me?

Do I have to bake them ? Varnish them..?

Was just wondering what to do with them myself when the DC's decided to empty a huge bag of the buggers all over the floor!

this morning a mum showed us a conker necklace her son had made at school - I hope I will do a good job of describing it . Basically, he had colourful squares of felt which he had threaded on alternately with the conkers.

It looked really effective
