Bonfire night decoration ideas please

We're having a small bonfire night party for family and a couple of small friends at our house this year. So, in my head I thought iI would decorate & make some bits to do the house up with.

All well & good, except, what on earth do you decorate with for bonfire night to make a house look exciting? That you can make yourself easily & cheaply?

crepe paper streamers in flame colour? piles of twigs? lots of glitter on black paper? and a guy?! good luck.

Cover loo rolls / kitchen roll middles with coloured paper, make a nose cone out of card & stick loads of long coloured paper / tin foil streamers to the other end = a rocket!

Make up several guys out of stuffed clothes to sit around the house!

Glue wigwams of twigs together & stuff middle with orange/yellow crepe paper for mini bonfires (keep matches out of the way!!)

I wish I'd thought it through now before offering to do it all myself but am quite looking forward to making some stuff with the lo & as a project on an evening
