How to make a hug a bub type sling?

I've tried one of these and like the idea of them but can't afford to buy one (i've already got a bjorn baby sling). Any helpful advice on making/sewing one? Types of material etc...

i was looking at this today as well! the only thing i would say is that you need to be careful about the fabric - too stretchy and it won't be supportive enough and you don't want it to be too thick/heavy as it will be uncomfortable to use. other people have made them though by just cutting up jersey fabric and tapering the ends slightly, no sewing required! good luck, i'd be interested to know how you get on as i was thinking of making one myself
