simple knitting pattern for a child's jumper

I am looking for a knitting pattern for a simple jumper for a 2-year old, with mabe buttons on the shoulder or at the neck but no cables, motives, fair isle pattern etc. I also don't want to have to buy a book of patterns, none of which I will ever make. Beat the credit crunch - get granny knitting!

I thought it would be really easy to find a pattern on the internet, but it is not.
I have found this. I know you said no Fair isle, but you can just use a bit more of the main colour and ignore the Fair Isle.
Failing that I can probably find you something in my loft but for copyright reasons you must faithfully promise me that you will return the original pattern
I couldn't possibly send you a photocopy, iyswim

Absolutely no photocopies, heaven forbid. I really like the site you suggested, especially the stripy jumper. Thanks. Are you really a Dutch Oma?

Yes I am. And I couldn't possibly send a photocopy, especially since I have no address.

I found load of free knitting patterns here. Maybe they might be of some use to both of you.

Thank you thank you for that link!
I have joined up and subscribed to some of the newsletters. I have been looking for some inspiration to get back to knitting for a little while and can see lots on there to give me itchy fingers!

Some lovely things, including a child's sweater with buttons on the shoulder - just what I need due to dd's big head. Will pass them on to knitting reletives.
