Crafty peple help me out here!! Would like a 'learn to knit' book or kit for a birthday present for an 8 year old. Any suggestions from you lot who knit??

I got one for my DD's but they (and I found the instructions not great) so my mum tried teaching them instead.

However dd2 has a crafy friend with a v v crafty mummy who does all sorts of things with her kids nd so has time to help too. Thanks again!!

Was it the Usborne one? If not, I recommend that one as we have found it great
