How about a photo mug?

lucysmam · 09/09/2008 19:36

Bumper, I'm liking the magic mug . . . might have to get one for me

Not sure about for my family though, my dad n sis have become a bit reclusive since I moved out and only have designer or Ikea stuff in the house iirc. Sure there must be a few bits of personal stuff around rather than just bits for show but we've never been invited down there since getting together Something wrong there I think

Come to think about it, a magic mug like that would be fab for my oh, with a pic of me to reveal when the hot drink goes in. & MIL would love one with my lo on

I'm bursting with ideas, can't wait til payday to get some bits and pieces together to give some stuff a go

These ideas are so inspiring, and Eddas, the hamper looked FAB!

Mary Berry has a recipe for individual Xmas cakes (made in the small bean tins -- note, if you do this, you MUST remove the little rim that remains around the edges of easy-open tins, otherwise you cannot get cake out!) in her Ultimate Cake Book.

cheers for the tip BEAUTIFUL, will remember to remove the rims from tins!

Something which is pretty cheap and goes down well is hyacinths. If you buy the bulbs now and plant them up, they'll be ready in time for Xmas. You can put them in ordinary plastic flower pots if you can't find anything cheap and pretty and get your DC to decorate with collage of pics cut from mags and catalogues. They go down well with grandparents as presents from the kids.
