special first birthday party invites

i wonder if anyone does these id love something special done for my granddaughters first birthday next month.
it would be lovely suprise for my dd as her son should be two the same week but we lost him to cot death in 2006.
ive looked online and in shops but want something special and you girls always seem to come up trumps any ideas id be thrilledx

how many would you want? Any idea of a "theme"? I make and sell cards - I haven't done invitations for other people before but could always adapt a card design.

It must be a hard balance for you all to celebrate but remember a loss at the same time!

any ideas welcomed, you have some lovely ideas i especialy liked the special grandaughter one,and the one with amelia on it. she has lovely auburn hair with curls on end ,god this is difficult ,should i include something to do with her brother.

Not sure which ones you meanAmelia is my DD so there are a few on there with her name I think.

Personally I wouldn't include her brother in with the invites but if you didn't want it to pass by un-noticed, then a little, seperate remembrance card or trinket should do the job.

a remberance card would be lovely ,can u do one of them for me for next month ,my dd wanted a party to celebrate all 3 of their birthdays together ,but it doesnt feel right, dd still wants to celebrate his birthday we all do but cards always go on about partys and growing bigger,he never will,as cot death took him away from us at nearly three month x

dingle ive been looking for thisxxthey were wonderful i have enclosed one in his album so his sisters can see when older and remember their brotherx my dd loved it and it brought tears to my eyes when i saw them.thanks dingle you are the greatest xx
