fusing?

are you planning on just turning the jewellery wire in so beads don't fall off? If so, selection of pliers b and q - £9.99

or using a soldering iron? I've never needed to use one in jewellery making

You can also use 'crimps' - tiny little silver tubes that you crush onto the wire so that it holds wire together - again, you use a selection of pliers for that.

The selection of pliers I'm talking about come in a black case with blue handles - I use the rounded ones for rolling the end of the silver (to make a tight 'eye') to hold beads on, the flat nosed ones for crushing, the sharp for cutting etc

I know what you mean juicy - you'd need a soldering torch & some sort of special solder I think (never tried it tho)
good book here

For soldering jewellery,a soldering iron would'nt do the job.

I use a cooks blowtorch, flux(which helps the silver to fuse with the silver solder), silver solder strips and then you need safety pickle to clean the silver as it will have scorch marks on it.

This video is great in helping with the basics
