... sewing.

I admit defeat on the Jean Greenhowe doll - it was a stupid idea - but I thank you all for your help and advice.

The impossible task I have set myself this week is making a new dress. I have a tie back, tea-dress that I love but which is beginning to look a wee bit shabby and I thought "I know! I'll make one just like it!" I'm actually reasonably handy on the sewing machine, but a bit out of practice. Can anyone recommend a good online source of dress patterns?

Thanks very much! I've found a Butterick pattern there that I like the look of.
Of course then I'll have to find some nice fabric...

Betsy ross, yes they're from the US but they are lovely. Much better than flimsy paper patterns and the instructions are very clear, plus if you get stuck, you can email her and she will reply very quickly.

I ordered a Burda maternity dress pattern from Habithat on Sunday and it arrived today.
