Hi,
Im writing my wedding invites and want to attach wax seals to the envelopes. However ive read somewhere that they go brittle and fall off in the post. Is this right? and if so what else can I use?

TIA

Yes they do come off I'm afraid, I think it's more to do with the address reading machines that the envelopes are run through. You just end up with a slight mark on the back of the envelope where the wax seal was! Post Office hates them, they gunk up their machines!

Don't know what else to suggest, other than folding the invite in such a way that you can use the seal, then putting it in a normal envelope. Why don't you send yourself a few "test" ones to see what happens?

It also depends on which wax you use. The more traditional ones can crack and break. Agree with putting them in another envelope.

Thanks both, I might send myself one as a test
