I made my dh a birthday card, I cut a big rectangle of card for a large cake, stuck it on and added a long piece cut out of silver card for a board, another long piece across the centre for a ribbon, and long pieces cut with curvy scissors to look like icing on top and on the base.

Then you can stick on small cut-outs for rosettes of icing, and small pieces cut for candles and flames. Looks good.

Saw this today - a card making kit for men. Some good ideas - these are always so hard to do! If anyone ever sees any buttons or die cuts out there with a pint of beer - let me know!

Yorkiegirl, if you want to CAT me, I can email you some pics of a few that I have made. I also have found the instructions of how to fold your own little origami style shirts-haven't tried it yet though!
I must admit I often "cheat" with mens cards, using peel-offs or 3D decoupage .
