Knitters - how much would you charge to knit this?

DS has become extremely attached to this blanket that I knitted for him and I'm worried it's going to get lost.

I've just had a crisis - it reeked so I snook it out of his cot when he was asleep thinking he wouldn't notice. He woke up an hour later screaming for it and it was in the washing machine

I don't have time to knit another now I'm back at work.

Would anyone be interested in knitting it for me? And if I provided wool etc, how much would you charge to knit it?

unfortunately a second one may not be accepted anyway. I have 2 blankets for my son (having rushed out and got another when he started to become very attached to teh one). Even now (age 9) he get's extremely upset if it goes in the wash, and is completely aware that i have replaced it with the 'spare' one (and they both look as awful as each other)

oooh ceolas knitted one just like that - it's quite complex though.

i was just about to post ceolas has done this. it is lovely. are you sure you don't have time yourself? i work and knit loads.

It took ages to knit the first one because, to be honest, it's quite tedious to knit. Not selling it really am I! My mum suggests just cutting it in half but it seems such a shame.

Could you knit a much smaller version? He might be alright, Ds has 2 Taggies and he does prefer one but is happy with the other one.

looks too labour intensive for me am afraid, am a slow knitter so would have to charge at least a gazillion pounds for the many years it would take me. I hope you do find someone though, it looks lovely.

dutchoma is a super duper knitter - she made a fab cardi for my DS last year. And it was very reasonably priced too.

I also thing DutchOma is the fastest knitter I have ever come across.
Someone I know has this blanket, didn't realise until I saw the rowan pattern that it must have been handknitted, very impressive!
