Can I omit the cream of tartar? I've run out, local shops don't sell it and I need to make some now for a children's group meeting starting in an hour! I can't find an recipe online that doesn't use it - please help!

Thanks

No the tartar is crucial in this recipe but there are recipes without it - hang on

Salt dough
Ingredients:
2 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup salt
3/4 cup water
food coloring.

Step 1:
Mix flour with salt and water in a deep bowl.

Step 2:
Knead it until it's doughy.

Step 3:
Add food coloring or glitter.

Step 4:
Make shapes by hand or with cookie cutters.

Step 5:
Dry the objects in the oven at 200 degrees F for about 10 minutes. They can then be painted.
