Urgent help needed on knitting pattern

I'm a novice knitter currently making a baby cardigan and struggling what this bit on the pattern means, can anyone help.

There will be a key at the very beginning of the pattern explaining what all the abbreviations mean

What do the instructions for the left front say at that stage? The '2 st, k to end' is as clear as mud.

That's the bit that makes no sense to me it says work to match right side which is not helpful

Do you think it should be decrease 2 stitches

I think it might be a typing error, it’s meant to read “rejoin yarn, cast off 2 sts, knit to end”.

You haven't really shown enough of the pattern. Left hand side needs to be shown again. Just type it in eg k2 p to end or whatever it says.
