Advice about hook size please

I’m going to double up some Dk yarn, which size hook/needles would I need to use? Thanks

I'd probably try a swatch with a 6mm and then adjust from there.

Sounds interesting, what are you making?

I used double DK as a replacement for chunky yarn in a blanket when I couldn't get chunky yarn in one of the colours I wanted. Chunky takes a 6mm hook so I used that.

@EmpressaurusKitty a granny square lap blanket but want to make it a bit stiffer than dk.
@MyOtherProfile thats a great idea I’ll definitely do that in the future
