I am trying to add some blackout lining to a pair of bedroom curtains . I’ve bought some ‘flap curtain lining tape ‘ from Terrys but can’t figure out if it’s the right thing or not, or how to use it ! Google and YouTube are letting me down and I can’t find any videos of how to use this kind of tape . Anyone able to help ?

I’ve never heard it called this but just seen that it is 1” heading tape.
the idea would be to make curtain linings to match the curtains with this heading tape sewn at the top.
Put traditional curly curtain hooks into the top and then use these hooks to attach the linings to the curtain heading tape.
This won’t work if you have eyelet or another heading on the curtains.

Thank you. Those are the principles I’m trying to follow but couldn’t figure out how this particular tape works

You are basically making a mini-curtain from blackout lining.
Put the curtain and lining wrong sides together and hold together using curly curtain hooks going through a pocket on the lining heading tape and a pocket on the curtain heading tape. So hook goes UP through the lining HT and DOWN through the curtain HT.
