Cross stitch with yarn on crochet

I can crochet but not sew. I'd like to do some cross stitching on a piece of crochet. Ideally I'd like to buy one of those pieces of fabric with a pattern that have adhesive and can be used as a template and then washed and the pattern remain, or I could follow a tutorial. I am after this sort of thing. Thanks!

If you can learn to crochet, surely you can learn to cross stitch? There are plenty of YouTube videos etc.

I don’t think it’s easy to get a printed pattern because the size and stitch spacing will vary a bit for every piece of crochet.

just look up tutorials for counted cross stitch instead.

Once you have learnt to sew, you could even design your own cross stitch patterns by drawing designs onto squred paper which will include the area of the design.

One square would equal one crochet stitch.

Thanks. I've decided that it's probably best I start with intarsia. I think I am more likely to master that. It looks similar with having to follow a chart...

I've made similar to these. I crocheted the jar covers then put the jar in rough drew the flowers with a heat pen and used a tapestry needle to embroidery if you enlarge that photo you can just copy it. Then take the jar out tidy up ends and lightly steam the heat pen off. Once you've got the hang of it you can copy anything you don't need the pen as long as you have a pic or a chart. I always start with the centre and work out. I actually prefer the look of a motif so I generally make them and sew them on.
