do sewing machines do a hem stitch?

v basic question. Have a few skirts to hem & would normally tackle by hand.....would a basic machine tackle this?? TIA!

Generally, cheaper ones don't have a blind hemming stitch on them, I have a basic (ish) brother that does but to be honest, it's so much faff that I do hems by hand.
