To ask for your ideas! Removable label

Hello mumsnet, I am pulling together a gift idea for a group gift for a friend for her new baby. We plan to get her a bookshelf, and each friend gifts one book. We would like to add a message inside each book from the giver - something like who it’s from and a short piece of advice or nice comment for her and baby.

Conscious that one eventually wants to donate/pass on children’s books, we would like this to be removable so that she can take the messages out before passing books on.

Any ideas for how to achieve this? Thought about things like stapling cards inside front cover but maybe you all have a genius idea!

Could you each put a postcard inside the book with a lovely image and your message. The postcard doesn't have to be stuck in and she can use the postcards as bookmarks and keep them when and if the book is handed on.

or

Stick an envelope in the book and put the message on a card in the envelope.

or

Pretty Post it/Sticky notes that are designed to peel off.
