I’m new to Sashiko - please help!

I’d love to try to Sashiko, but is there a particular book or a maker of kits that would be good to start with? I wondered about some Olympus kits that I saw online.

There are some very comprehensive books on Amazon

The OP was probably hoping for recommendations rather than the suggestion to look on Amazon which, let's face it, could be the answer to most questions.

OK, I’ve ordered a book that’s arriving tomorrow 🙂. And then I’ll order a couple of kits I think.

Hope your book is a good one OP . I started with Susan Briscoe‘s 365 quilt book and got on very well . Better than any other I would say for showing you the techniques and order of stitching. She also has a Facebook group which is very helpful.
