Has anyone bought shibori type fabric from India?

Hello,
As the title says. I have bought a shibori type fabric to hopefully make a skirt ( just doing short machine course and we are making a skirt and I want to do a second one at home). I bought it on Etsy and it came from India
If you have bought similar did you wash it before using and if so did it shrink much and did the dye run?

Always wash fabric before using it or you will end up with a tiny garment. I haven't used shibori fabric. Do you have a link?

This sort of thing. I know you should wash it but I am concerned about the dye and wondered if anyone else has done it.
I am unlikely to wear it so much that I will need to wash it normally. I usually air things that are dry clean and a skirt is not really in contact with much of my body.

You could just cut a small square and do a test wash to see if it runs? If you cut it to a set size then you can also check shrinkage
