Help Needed!!! Ideas for Father's Day craft for toddler group

I am trying to think of some craft activity related to Fathers' Day for the toddler group I run on Tuesdays.

I am having a complete failure of inspiration. I need something quick and easy using card (I can cut out templates) stickers, glue, crayons etc. I don't have a lot else except paper plates and maybe enough toilet roll tubes to go round.

The problem is made worse by the fact that it is the annual photographer's visit tomorrow so anything messy or involving paint will be out as the children are likely to be dressed up.

Don't know if this is the right area to put this in but I thought you clever crafty ladies might have some ideas.

Thanks for your help.

do you have a laminator? you can get them to stick bits on card and laminate to make bookmarks.

I have done this Poem with painted footprints on it.

Walk a little slower daddy
said the child so small
I?m following your example,
and I don?t want to fall?

Sometimes your steps are very fast,
Sometimes they are hard to see
So walk a little slower daddy
For you are leading me

Someday when I?m all grown up
You?re what I want to be
Then I will have a little child
Who?ll want to follow me

And I want to lead just right
And I know that I was true
So walk a little slower Daddy
For I must follow you

The only one I can remember seeing was a cut out of a tie (not a cliche at all then!) decorated with stickers/ whatever and stuck on the card - sorry not very inspiring!

Oh thank you - you have my brain working again.

No I don't have a laminator but I really really want one. I have no real use for one but that doesn't stop me coveting them!

So, I'm thinking bookmark in the shape of a tie! Fun to decorate, put a bit of ribbon in the end - just right for little ones. Hope you don't mind me combining the two ideas.

Shoshe - I would have loved to do your poem too but with the photographer coming and the potential for mess with the paint I will print if off and save it for another day. If I have the time I might even type it out and put it on a sheet for people to do at home.

Thanks again everybody.
