Sticker making machine for kids?

Has anyone bought or used a sticker machine for kids? I don’t mean fancy things like a Cricut but something along the line of the below?

We want to get one for Christmas for our 5 year old but all have such varied reviews. I don’t want to get something too hard for him to use on his own but equally don’t want to get something that’s ends us being rubbish and never used. We had a total dud of a present for his birthday and I’m trying to avoid another mistake!

i use an Xyron for work. I mainly use it for laminating, but you can make stickers and magnets with it. You can buy them off Amazon, just make sure you get the permanent adhesive cartridges, as the repositional cartridges aren’t very sticky. I have an A3 one, but I’d recommend the 510 model for a child, it’s big enough for turning credit card sized photos into stickers, and easy enough to get refills (expensive and difficult to get the size I need😬) It has much more scope than the ones you’ve listed, as well as turning photos into stickers or magnets you can either print off any image you want, or he can draw and colour his own design, or colour and cut out pictures from a colouring book. He can make book marks too!
He’ll need a bit of help initially, but once he’s got the hang of it, they are really easy and fun to use!

Thanks! That helps narrow a bit down. I had seen the Xyron but it looked more for work/ not kid friendly and for fun things. Does it use its own app or can you use Bluetooth to print things?

We had something like the second two, rubbish, in fact I threw them out this weekend as I thought that they were not good enough for the charity. Shame because the idea is fantastic and we thought our kids would love them.

No app or Bluetooth, it’s very basic!! But because of that, unless you drop it, it’s pretty hard to break! The replacement cartridges can be pricey, but Amazon quite often have a reduction on them, you just have to keep checking! It’s a hand cranking machine, you put your design in to the opening, turn the handle and once the sticker comes through, you run the cutting blade (protected by a plastic bar) across the sticky backed plastic (laminate or magnet) and it cuts clean away from the cartridge. It’s tricky to explain, but there are tutorials on YouTube.
