Easy cardigan knitting pattern

I have a stash of acrylic double knitting yarn I'd like to use up. I can do basic knitting.

Can anyone suggest a free or cheap pattern for a simple boxy cardigan? Waist length rather than long for preference.

Considering the amount of time you will be putting into this, why don’t you find a pattern that you like? It’s worth paying for a good pattern by a reliable brand because it will have been tested.
