Help! Painting mdf

Hi,
Anyone have any idea about how best to paint mdf. I’ve bought some free standing mdf letters and want to spray them alternately glittery purple and gold.
Has anyone got any advice on what best to use? I’ve looked at spray paints but looks like anything glittery won’t give a solid colour look?
any ideas

You need a base colour similar to your glitter topcoat, you could use car spray paints if the letters aren’t too big, go grey primer then gold top coat for the gold one and something like a ruby for the other one. Car paints come in either cellulose or water-based use whichever would be compatible with your glitter paint.
