HELP! Looking for wooden toy aeroplane kit!

Can anyone help me?

I get sent a ton of parenting/toy catalogues, and I KNOW I saw a lovely wooden model aeroplane kit in one of them, I meant to save it, but it's ended up in the recycling and now I can't remember which catalogue it was.

The plane was aimed at children of 5+, they had to assemble it, then they could paint it, and then it could be used as a toy glider that they could take into a field and throw about, so it was quite robust.

After reading that ORT book where Kipper has a toy plane, a kit like this is all my DS2 wants for his birthday, and I cannot find anything like it now. I've googled all manner of things, but cannot find anything at all similar. Can anyone help me? Thank you!

I saw one in this shop in Devon about a year ago that fits the description. I wish I'd bought it but didn't.

If you're feeling very proactive about it you could call them and see if they know what make it is, or if you can buy it over the phone.

Good luck.

Have been googling Balsa areoplanes, there are quite a lot to choose from, have a go.

Thank you both. I've called the shop and am also continuing to google. Neither are quite what I saw, but I'm certain I'll find something to satisfy him! Thanks again

i think the one i saw at the shop was quite chunky and screwed together so quite sturdy. i'd be interested to know what it was called. what did they say?

It was a woodman imagine bi-plane that they still have - is that the one you saw?
