Researching an old fabric - any experts out there?!

I posted in Culture vultures but was redirected over here

Got a piece of Liberty fabric, which is called 'Carnation' and is black with large bunches of red/pink flars on.

It's gorgeous but I can't find it mentioned anywhere and would love to know how old it is.

Can anyone help please?

TIA

Not sure whether any of the tips here can help date it.

WonderingWhy · 29/05/2008 20:58

Wow Jackie, what a page!!

It's newer then - it's about 48 wide. It does feel newer I have to admit. Just not sure how new because I can't find it listed anywhere.

Oh well! Bookmarked that page anyway

If its a Liberty print why not contact them direct?

My MIL has something similar sounding in her house. Think it's liberty, What are you trying to find out?

Thankyou for the link, I will email them later. I suppose I always like to know the age and history of things...especially fabrics etc.
I will ask them when it was produced and who designed it.
Sorry if it sounds weird, I am a strange person probably!

I'm still trying to find out about some Pirate curtains I had as a child, never seen any like them again

Sorry, it's not the same print.
Good luck though.
