Any epoxy adhesive experts about?

The epoxy adhesive that came with my Kintsugi kit is in a two part syringe. The instructions were to push out equal parts but the plunger was so stiff I could hardly get any of one part out, despite poking it with a cocktail stick and some obviously not very helpful verbal 'encouragement'.

In my ignorance I mixed up what had come out and added the gold dust and stuck two of the bits of china together. It hasn't set.

My questions: can I safely clean it off the china and start again? Should I use something special or just a damp cloth?

Is there a way of getting both parts out in the same quantities without having to go and ask someone else to push the plunger for me?

I would clean it off with some warm water and soap and a toothbrush to get into the cracks and then let it dry. Might be worth biting a new tube of epoxy from a local DIY shop if you can't get it to work..

Thank you @Geneticsbunny. I was wondering if heating the syringe a bit would soften it up but it would probably do both sides and one's runny enough already. It has also occurred to me it's a few years old so a new one might be the best option.

My postgrad is in epoxy resin and adhesives - yes pull it off. Warm water and tweezers should help - if it doesn’t try another solvent alcohol based or something like nail varnish - good luck 🤞

It cures and should have a best before date - so grab a new one. Lollipop stick and recycled clean plastic lid of a pot out of the recycling to mix it on!

Thank you @Sunflowersinthesummer , that's very useful. I'm hoping to get some new when I'm out today.
