Does anyone recognise this yarn?

It's yarn that was given to me without the label. I think it's double knitting, but quite thin, quite soft texture, and I also think it was originally a 150g or 200g ball. Googling hasn't helped me, so I'm really hoping MN can.

Here's another view of it.

It looks like something from Hobbii, maybe Jarbo Cookie or Winter Glow.

Could be a James c Brett wool?

Internaut · 05/07/2025 22:12

Hobbii and James C Brett have some yarn that looks frustratingly similar, but not the same one, sadly.

Image search says opal cotton premium 4 ply sock yarn.

I have a multicoloured one by Hayfield, could it be that brand?

Is it Lana Grossa?

Thanks all. Further digging makes me think it could be Rico Creative Melange, purple rust colour - though it's a bit of a stretch, because Rico wound like this is supposedly Aran, and in my book this is really quite a thin DK.
