Material advice

I’ve got a lovely piece of vintage pacha paternal and I’m wanting to make it in to an age appropriate dress for a trip to Ibiza!

I would appreciate your thoughts / input on what material and colours you would put with it!

first pic is the material… second pic is “inspiration” the material would make up the top part.. hopefully!

The top of the dress in the picture looks like a stretch fabric, so I don’t think substituting a plain weave would work.

Looks gorgeous! It looks quite see-through so the first thing I would do is choose one of the colours for a solid lining underneath. White would light up the pale blue whereas cream or gold would make an over all warmer tone.

For the bottom half of the dress, pick one of the colours already in the scarf. The pale blue would be very summery. The deep blue would make the leopard and gold stand out. The tan or dark brown from the leopard would make the pale blue stand out.
