picture here in my profile

the ones on the left were easier but i like the other ones more. obviously they are still a bit rough but not bad for a first try!

How fabulous!!

They are both lovely but like you I prefer the style of the ones on the right

I need to get round to making some for my soon-to-be-born niece [hmmm]

They're ace!!

SirDigbyChickenCaesar · 22/05/2008 10:00

they are bought felt but hand stitched. does one cancel the other out?
i tried to use my little POS "JML Genius Personal Sewer" sewing machine but it didn't really work that well.

They are fabulous . Did you make them from a pattern? If so please could you let me know where from? I would really love to make some.

Your knitted toys are marvellous too and did you make the hat? You are truly talented! Is it the case when knitting hats, socks, anything with concentric circles in you have to use 6 knitting needles?

3madboys · 23/05/2008 17:57

ooooooh those are gorgeous clever you

SirDigbyChickenCaesar · 26/05/2008 20:14

sweetie - yup from patterns.
here
and here

the toys and hats are all crocheted. I'm not good with patterns so they are all from my own little brain and as a result each one is unique.

went back to hobby craft and got some more felt. red with white polka dots!! gotta love it. though i'm wondering more and more about wearability. also should i be washing it first? can felt be washed?

this is quickly turing into an obsession. Dh commented the other day how our house looks like a wool shop. now there's felt everywhere too...

Love the boots on the right. dd now 7 had several pairs like that from about 3 months till about 3. They were the only ones that stayed on her feet as she had tiny ankles. I only wish I knew how to make them back then would have saved me a lot of money plus she who have had more then a pair at a time.
Been racking my brain for a friend with a baby I can make them for, got one now I can't wait to have ago making some too.
If all goes well may try a large pair as slippers for dd.

Miaou · 02/06/2008 13:15

It will probably wash sirdigby but will pill like mad I think. Not sure about what to do re. wear; personally I tend to sew a suede sole onto the bottom but that's very fiddly and hard work!

(I remember the boo doll but you were someone else then ... can't remember who!)
