That's cute! 🐻

I take it you're new to crochet? If so, have a look on YouTube for some specific tutorials for the techniques you're struggling with (Bella Coco has lots), then keep practising them until you get a bit more confident. Start with the magic circle and the double crochets, move onto the next thing (eg increases). Just keep going until holding the hook and the yarn and the movements become second nature.

One thing to be aware of: the name of the stitches is different in the US and the UK, so check which your pattern is written as. Eg, in the UK, we have Double Crochets (DC) which the US call Single Crochets (SC), and we have Treble Crochets (TC) which the US call Double Crochets (DC). It can get confusing if you mix them up!

This is a tutorial for a similar square - it's got lots of pictures and explanation, it's sometimes easier to follow a written tutorial as it can be a faff watching the video and having to keep pausing it while you figure out how to copy the moves. The pattern isn't exactly the same as the pattern in your bear blanket but if you can make sense of this one it might help with yours as the stitches are similar (UK Trebles / US Doubles). It also starts with a chain rather than a magic circle but the two are usually interchangeable - basically you create a circle by joining two ends of a little chain together.

Good luck and report back how you get on!
